Just like people, dogs have personalities that can range from social to shy. Some Dallas Animal Services (DAS) dogs, like Penny (below), are famous for their friendly demeanor and make the perfect playmate!
Every day, DAS has dedicated staff conducting playgroups as a way to socialize and exercise dogs in the sunshine and fresh air. The staff identifies helper dogs who are skilled at helping shy dogs come out of their shells and the results are amazing. These pups even celebrated with a summer pool party!
