In anticipation of the Dallas Animal Services (DAS) kitten nursery opening April 1st, weāre celebrating Kitten Week! Here are a few things to know about DAS kitten programs:
DAS cares for over 2,000 kittens each year.
Each of these kittens receives 24/7 care, with newborns needing to be fed every 2 hours.
$160 can provide a robust foster kit to our life-saving kitten fosters.
The average cost of care for a litter of kittens is $500.
Last year, donors to Friends of Dallas Animal Services funded $40,000+ worth of supplies and equipment for kittens.
